THE COALITION NEGOTIATIONS.
(Received January 8, 9.55 a.m.) MELBOURNE, January 8. It as understood that negotiations between Mr Hughes and Mr Cook regarding tho formation of a National Party have terminated, and further .developments have been postponed until the Liberal Party 'meets' shortly before the re-assembling of Parliament ou February 7. It ia generally agreed that Mr Hughes will not attend the Imperial Conference. >■ There are indications of general ■elections for both Houses in April.
