'Kennedy and Franz wore found guilty of vhe murder of Constable Duncan, and were sentenced to death.

SYDNEY, October 19. JjSWidence at the trial showed that Cw&ablo 'Duncan's death was the outcome of the arrest of a member of the 'UWrW., and the intention to arrest, Ronald '"Kennedy on a charge of using ( abusive language. ■ 'In connection with T)unca.n s murder, I Franz gave evidence that after seeing j tho constable about the threatened j summons, lion aid said: ii; The police will "have to be stopped." Ho (Kennedy) arranged the shooting, and 'threatened -to shoot 'Franz unless he •participated. ... ' -Counsel explained that .the charge against Michael Kennedy would bc\ tfetlcen later. ■
