PETROL SCANDAL.

MORGAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL

SYDNEY, Juno 1

As an outcome of the Petrol Commission H. A. Morgan has been committed for trial on three charges of wickedly soliciting and inciting F. S. Black, local manager of tho British Imperial Oil Company and E. E Wagstafr, general manager of tho company, to cheat and defraud tho King of divers large sums of money. The evidence was similar to that given before tho Commission. Tho Hon. A. Griffith, Minister of Education, gave evidence that ho never authorised Morgan to make proposals for brokerage "or commission but merely authorised him to collect facts and place them before the proper authorities. Bail in £200 was allowed.
