THE WEATHER.
Abhburton experienced the first sign of winter this morning, when three degrees of frobt was registered. Last evening when- the sun went down the air was vo.ry keen indeed, and it was quite apparent iliat there would be.a frost. '1 Ik* :->Tunv on the mountains was no doubt largely responsible for "the change iv the atmosphere. To-day has been fine ax\d warm, the maximum temperature us recorded at the Ashburton u'l'ai.hor statiou being 66 dogrees in the shade. . ■
The Dominion Meteorologist's forecast to-riin was as follows: —The indications arc for easterly winds, moderate to strong, and backing by east to north. Theie in :i prospect of fair to cloudy weather, misty at times. ' The barometer lias a falling tendency.
