FEILDING, November 24

■'„;. Contrary to the statements circulated as to the effect on the Wanganui Education district of the alteration in the education districts, the chairman points out that the board loses 25 schools and over 2000 pupils, in addition to the whole area in which agricultural instruction is being successfully carried on. Tho majority of the members of the board have expressed their intention of retiring from education work, as a protest against the action of the council. The probability is that the board will resign as a whole.
