The Minister of Defence visited the Avondale camp and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and work of the Tunnelling Corps. Mr Allen read a message from the Governor wishing the troops every success and regretting that he was un,able to inspect them owing tothe near departure of the hospital ship Marama. "
