Tho Italians are daily capturing trenches, blockhouses, and forts on the main Austrian defences at Gorizia, | which' hang on by a single;thread. The defenders of Mounts Sabotiea, Podgora, Calvario, San Michele, and I)o----berdo, were the most formidable for-' tifications, and were almost wiped ovit in the fighting in the suburbs of Gorizia.
