AT MONASTIR.
ALLIED MARINES ARRIVE
(Received November 24, 1.50 p/ra.) SALONIKA, November 22.
Tho Anglo-Russian-French 'marines, who havo assisted in the dofence of Belgrade since October, 1914, reached Monastir on November 16, and the. ;two following days. M. Picot, the French commander, states 'that they left Belgrade a few minutes before the German occupation, first destroying their guns. Tho French contingent, by forced marches, reached Monastir without ii loss of a single man. They suffered much hardship in going across the Albanian fastnesses. The country had neither tracks nor paths and was the most inhospitable region in the world. The contingent's only food was bread.
The situation at Monastir is unchanged. Tho Bulgarians arc still being arrested at South Prilep. It is reported that Gallwitz, with an army corps, is coming to the aid of the Bulgarians against tho Anglo-French. The Serbians on the morning of November 21, drove back the Bulgarians round Monastir for eight kilometres. Tho enemy's casualties were .10,000.
