ITALIAN'S SHOP WRECKED

\ (Received November 24, 8.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 24. The refusal by an Italian shopkeeper at Manly to allow, a soldier to leavo a bottle of beer on his premises led to a quarrel, in which the Italian in selfdefence knocked out tho soldier with the bottle. A, rumour spread that the soldier was dead, and next day a strong body of soldiers visited Manly and completely wrecked the shop. Twenty-four soldiers were remanded on a charge of rioting, on bail in £200 each.
