DOMAIN BOARD.
The caretaker of the Domain reported that the grounds generally had been attended to during tho past fortnight. The Californian quail are in no way harmful to the Domain. In regard to the deputation from the Ashburton Cricket Club complaining' of lack of attention to the pitch, he referred tho Council-to the rough diary of work done in the Domain, which • wa-s proof of the incorrectness of "statements made—Tho report wa-s received and adopted. Cr. Ferviman said that birds were i particularly numerous* in tho Domain' at present. —Tho Chairman replied that tho caretaker gave permission to boys to collect eggs there.
