It has been decided to call up men for the 11th Reinforcement^, -upon a .population basis—nainbly, the estimated dumber.of men 'of. "military ago in the four, military, dLstrictar; of the Doniinioflj' as'grvon bj the Government Statisticibjo. ' Quotas 'in each of the military districts will bo called iip, and the supply will -therefore bo -.—Auckland 26 per ccnt.j Wellington 32.4 polecat., Canterbury 24.8 por cent., Otago -17.8 per cent. " Tho same scheme will be observed in tho case of future drafts. Ponding the completion of the results of national registration _during tho past six months the practice has jbeen to call up drafts in proportion to ■ the -number of registrations in each district. Wellington 1 in. this system has done well, having the honour of supplying close upon half tho total number of men drafted into camp from the wholo of New Zealand dnnng the pact six months. The registration figures for the whole of New Zealand for the week ended Saturday last show the following 1 percentages :r—Auckland 29.10 per cent., Wellington 42.25.per cent., Canterbury 16.98 por> cent., Otago 11.67 per oent.
