■*■ RANGSTATA ROAD BOARD
•A meeting of the Railgitata Road Board was held at Lismijre on Monday -last.". Present.: "Messrs -M.: Charles, "C,.; Jaine, arid Wl: J. Allan. :Mr' Jaine wasvoted to. the chair. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Oakley and McKenzie. The usual reports, estimates, etc.,, having been read and discussed, some correspondence of mmor importance was read; also a letter from the secre- i tary of the,' Ashburton County War Relief Fund, asking the Board's cooperation in raising the £25,000 required.—The chairman (Mr Oakley) forwarded a. subscription list, which he had headed with a contribution of £25, and it was agreed that members canvass their own localities.
The following roll alterations; were iq;refld to: —From W. B. Morris to W. J. Hewitt, sections 36479-80, Ruapuna; from John Clark to J. M. John- ! son, part Res. 1.560. Rangitata. Accounts for £27 7s were oassed for payment, and the Board adjourned. '
