Dr. ,Dillon, writing from Rome, affirms that Greece's attitude is conditioned by a formal arrangement •between ttio Kaiser and King Constantihe, and can- be modified in our favour only by irresistible pressure of circumstances, which havo yctto.be created. King Constantino's object is to redeem the pledge given _ to his brothcr-inrlaw without incurring the anger of the Allies, whose command of the seas puts Greece at their mercy 1.Hence M. Venizelos is kept ready for an emergency. ■
