! The High Commissioner reports; — LONDON, October 14. In the Riga region the Russians captured a German hydroplane. West of Illoukst the Russians occupied heights. The Germans attempted at night to recover the position, but,were thrown back. The enemy was repulsed with severe loss south of Lake Demmen. In the face of heavy "fire the Russians occupied the isthmus of lakes at Little Drismatz. The enemy was dislodged from the village.of Rondkabskaroska, on the Pripet front,' where 200 men were captured. In the Strypa Russian attacks developed. There was brilliant cavalry work in the neighbourhood of Krzsvoluka.
