STUBBORN RESISTANCti TO THE ENEMY. AUSTRO-GERMANS LOSE HEAVILY. (Received October 15, 9.10 a.m.) NISH, October 14. A communique states :— ' One of our battalions 'captured and dismantled an enemy battery during the fighting north-westward of Pojareyatore. . We have evacuated Semenana. There was stubborn fighting in the village of Lipa, near Semendna. The enemy, before occupying it, suffered the heaviest losses of this campaign. The battlefield was covered with ,the enemy's dead. ■ •■ ",'.;.>, The enemy violently bombarded our
positions^ at Zabrez,/ and; j used poison gas. -, Our troops were not surprised, and charged: through the gashes. ; After a second gassing, the Serbians again resisted an attack, ■> driving the enemy back., Some fled across the Save.
