GERMAN TRADE IN THE ISLANDS
'<- SYDNEY, October 13. Referring to the firm of German planters that is allegedly doing business in Tonga and Samoa, Mr Hughes said he had not received official intimation of the existence of any case. He was unablo to deal with a firm operating between Tonga and Now Zealand until it tried to-do business with Australia. It was entirely a matter for tho Now Zealand Government.
