PROGRESS ON THE CHAMPAGNE FRONT. ' ENEMY REPULSED IN THE VOSGES. PARIS, October 13. A communique says :— •''The Germans sustained great losses in Monday's light-ing north-west of Sow--chez. "Our progress towards Lag'outte con tinues. "A violent infantry- attack on our positions at Lingo and Schratzmaennelle was repulsed. Some of .the assailants gained a footing in one of our, trenches, but were immediately driven out."
