SALE OF AYRSHIRE CATTLE.
l; . OAMARU, August 12. An. important sale of Ayrshire cattle was held at Herbert to-day, when the well-known herd of Mr James Frew was submitted; to auction. There was a fair attendance of buyers. The stock was) in poor condition owing to the very dry season and bidding was slow. Pedigree cows brought up to £29 10s, eight pedigree bulls to 10 gns.
