KOVNO AGAIN ATTACKED.
RUSSIANS REINFORCED ON THE BUG. PETROGRAD, August 12. An official communique states:— ''During the night (9.30) the Germans persistently attacked the eastern (western ?) works of, Kovno. Our coun-ter-attacks almost annihilated three German battalions. Wo captured 100 prisoners. "On the whole line of the Bug we have been reinforced, and are resisting vigorously. German forces advancing from Cholm were driven back towards the river Ukharka. The Austrians in the region of Stryfia are usirig explosive bullets." .-. " ,'
