Georges Carpentier, the famous French boxer, was injured owing to the stoppage of the engine of his aeroplane compelling him to descend suddenly. His left ankle was broken and his right eyebrow bone fractured.

A Berlin wireless message states that the good crops will soon permit an increase in bread distribution and a decrease in prices. The potato prospects are excellent, and prices will soon be at peace level.
