At the Supreme Court criminal sittings to-day, John Riley was found not ICiiiity of mischief at Brighton, and 'Alfred-Jnimv> McColl, who had pleaded guilty ivnd implicated Riley, was admitted to probation for two years and ordered to pay tho costs of the prosecution. James Kirkman, alias .lames Turner, \vna acquitted on a charge of destroying a small cottage and: contents,! b-uthan still to stand trinl for threatening'to burn down a hotel. i George Waterman, having been rejected for war service, was ordered to come up for sentenoo for forgery with-j in three years, and was further ordered to pay the costs of the prosecution. ■"•'.'.'.'"'
