CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE.
WELLINGTON, August 4. At tho Chambers of Commerce Congress to-day the following remit was adopted : — ' v "That it is advisable that-a system should be evolvod by the Chambers of Commerce of Now Zealand having for its objects tho advocacy at tho proper time before British ' capitalists of tho i advisability of investing ■ capital to_ a givator extent in future in the British colonial Dominions and States, and that to this end;, whon the right time arrives, representations of a comprehensive nature should be made in the proper quarters." . • ••• - - •■ ' Remits wore received from the Wellington and Wellington Central Chambers with the object of putting into effect a comprehensive list of recommendations made by • the 1909 conference with respect to the bankruptcy law of tho Dominion. Mr A. M. Myers gave an address on the subject of bankruptcy law, and discussion was postponed. The congress adjourned till to-mor-row.
