QUOTA TO BE INCREASED BY 2250
WELLINGTON, August 4. Tho Prime Minister stated in tho Houso of Representatives to-day that some little time a<>;o the Government had decided that tho Dominion should send an additional force, apart altogether from tho present reinforcements, to the front. It was not thought advisable to send these men into training during the winter months. The new force .would consist, of two battalions, comprising 2250 men, and the reinforcements which would be required would consist of over 300 men each month. Mr Massey said ho had not the slightest doubt that New Zealand, as in the past, would continuo to rise to the occasion, and that they would be/able to send away the additional force, without any difficulty.
