GERMAN INTRIGUES.
BKITISH EFFORTS BELITTLED. PETROGRAD, August 3: ! The " Novoe Vremya "draws attention to Germany's efforts to sow mistrust among the Allies. .It says'that Paris and London are swarming' with the Kaiser's secret agents, who arc assiduously pouring the poison of distrust and suspicion into the mind of the public. In France the German agents say that a year has passed am> the English are still only preparing for war, and that out of 900 kilometres^ of front they hold only a laughable section of 40 to 50 kilometres. -Such agit.-vtion is clumsy, but it is producing a certain impression, as hitherto the Russians havo borne the mnior burden of *"tho war, and the losses sustained by Russia's Allies are smaller than the Russi.ui. The cowardly insinuation oi the Goinian agents regarding the disloyalty of the Allies mieht have produced a greater impression in Russia, but hare failed. They only fill Russians, with the same -contempt," for German intrigues as the Allies feel. ' ''
