NATIONAL GOVERNMENT FORMED.
mi MASSEY AS PREMIER SIR JOSEPH WARD MINISTER OF FINANCE. [EXTRAOUDINADY —PItESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, August 4 (2.53 p.m.) Mr Massey announced in the House to-day that a National Government had been arranged. He stated that he would continue t3 hold the portfolio of Premier, that Sir Joseph Ward would be Minister of Finance, and that the Hon. James Allen would retain office as Minister of Defence. The holders of the other portfolios were not announced.
