VOLUNTARY SYSTEM ABOUT BROKEN DOWN.

SYDNEY, August 3
Speaking at a recent meeting, Senator Grant said the time had come when we should realise that the voluntary system had almost broken down. Australia ought to realise she could not muddle through.
Mr Wade, referring to the Stadium incident as a bad- advertisenient, said it was a stain on Australia's name which she must remove at the earliest possible moment.
