Tho General ComnriUoo of tho Molhven .Racing Club mot on Thursday evening, 16 momburs boing present. The Works Cominittoo reported having engaged Mr Freonmn to survoy the courso, which had been tlono to tho satisfaction of the committee.

It was resolved to oxtond an invitation to Mr W. H. Macdougall to visit the courso in connection with the totalisator house.

Several applications wore- received for the position of starter, and Messrs Tomkins and A.- G. Woods wore appointed to start tho trots and gallops respectively.

The following sub-committees were appointed:--Track, Messrs D. McKcndry, J. McAnulty, T. Twomey, C. Nordquist, and J. McGirr; Building, Messrs Morgan, Cuff, McKondry, Doherty, Carleton, Poff, and Twomey; Programme. Messrs Harrison, Holmes, Twomey, McAnulty, Carleton, Nordquist, and Twomey. The secretary and treasurer were granted authority to sign chequos on behalf of tho club, and four new members were elected.

The members of the Ground Committee mot on the Mount Harding course on Saturday, and, after a close examination of the course, decided to adopt it as surveyed. Mr J. McAnulty kindly offered to plough the track proper, which is a chain wide, also the /training track, which covers half a chain.—His offer was accepted with thanks.

The removal of the stones from the track before ploughing was left.in the hands of Mr T. Twomey and the secretary to make the necessary arrangements.

The erection of, the grand stand and enclosures wiJl be proceeded with at once.
