WELLINGTON, July 31. ' An official communication has been receired from the Director of Quarantine, , Melbourne, stating that a change has : just been ,made in ,the Commonwealth' . : regulations regarding, the importation of cattle into Australia from New Zealand. The regulation reads as follows:—"I now desire to draw your attention to another modification of the regulation regarding the importation of cattle from New Zealand—regulation 78, c (2), which requires, a tuberculin test certificate by a qualified surgeon in the case of all, cattle froni New Zea-j land. The certificate is required to state inter alia-the date on which the test was applied." The New Zealand Gov-: ernment is in communication with the. Commonwealth authorities regarding this matter in order to be clear on all j points bearing upon it.. ,
