CONGRATULATIONS FROM NEW
ZEALAND
WELLINGTON, July 30
At tho Farmers' Union Conference this afternoon Mr A. Mackay. (Marlborough) moved a resolution congratulating the work of the fleet and the work done by its men at the Dardanelles., This was adopted, after a brief discussion on a suggestion that the New Zealand Government should bo urged to follow Australia's example in the matter of having a local navy. This part was dropped, as being one of politics outside the Farmers' Union's province.
