FIERCE FIGHTING AT NIGHT.
GERMANS LOSE HEAVILY.
(Received July 31, 8.45 a.m.) PARIS, July 30. : A communique states :-— Throughout the night there was a grenade and petard struggle from trench to trench in the Labyrinth.\ Fighting at Barrenkopf was continued into the middle of the night, with great fierceness. We repulsed a fresh German counter-attack, and our curtains of fire inflicted heavy losses.
