A Unicjiic Experience.—A wellknown r.-iniior in this district bad a, rather unique, experience recently whilst lording Deep Creek, on the road to Stronserubie Station. The creek was deeper than usual, and but for the 11-uct tlifit his ear was a Ford, the practically waterproof car, lie would certainly not have attempted the journey. He says: " T. stopped up the main oilhole or breather pipe in the engine, tied a tout over the radiator, and put her at it. She fairly swam through, but came out al! right. The water was j over the bonnet and wings, and I had to bo pretty quick to rescue some parcels in tin.; civ- from getting spoilt with water. In my opinion there is no car like the r'ord." ' 0 0
