MILK VENDOR FINED.
WELLINGTON,. July 30. Tn :i case.which came before Mr D. G. A. CoojJor, S.M., in tho Magistrate's Court to-day, Donald Cook,, milk vendor, Kilbiruip. was charged -with selling milk not obtained from a registered dairy. Alexander Cook, Dairy Inspector to tho Agricultural Dcpait- , mont, stated that none of the premises • '■were- in a fit state to comply with the Dairy Industry .Act as regards' registration, in fact,, one of the dairies was in a. very bad stated, In one case a supjplior to the defendant had no floor of j any kind in his milking shed. Defendant, who' had been warned on Juno 1 28 and still persisted,'in taking; milk jfi-om this supplier, should have known bettor, as he had been a registered' dairyman previous to coming to Wei-" lingtpn. ! The defendant was convicted and ' fined £5 and £1 10s costs. Tho charge - was laid by tho City Council.'
