STATE IMPLEMENT WORKS.
PERTH, July 30. . The Hon. C. W. Angwin states that Mr Davies's resignation of the managership of the State Implement Works •was due to the accounts of the manufacture'of machines not being properly ko.pt.
Mi' Davies replied that this is a subterfuge, the friction being tho outcome of hivS. refusal to dismiss throe of the best men becau.se they were Liberals.
(A cable message received on July 26 said : —Mr Davies, who recently resigned th(! managership of the State Implement Works, alleges that Ministerial and political union interference was so rife that his position was a mere farce. Throo or tour labourers were allowed vo rim the works. Ho demands an independent inquiry).
