Every Rusiuiu corps has its separate story -of' heroism. " Jtivery position tub Germans take represents losses to them or' appalling magnitude. Bach success means that the ground is piled with, their countless dead. The Germans, though still attacking with determination and fury, are in an advanced state of exhaustion. Each day sees them reinforced jvith new ammunition and
guns. The Allies should realise that the Russians are making every effort humanly possibls to break the German offensive, and are bleeding tno enemy as he has never been bled before. Each retreat strengthens the Russians and weakens the Germans.
