ITALY AT WAR.

AUSTRIAN BRUTALITY

WOUNDED MEN FIRED ON

(Received July 30, 9 a.m.)

ROME, July 29

It is semi-ofh'cially announced that while a column of wounded were leaving the battlefield at Isonzo to reach the motor ambulances, an Austrian aeroplano descended 300 metres, whence the bandages on the wounded men were clearly visible, and opened a violent machine-gun fire upon the wounded. This continued for some time, but fortunately little damage was done.
