The French, after a ■brilliant engagement, occupied the important town of Lome, in the Caroeroons.'- The German troops mutinied,'.and' deserted. The whole of the Nemen district has _ risen against the Germans, demonstrating.in favour of the Allies/"' The Gormnns are retreating, burning and- destroying property. 'The French aro vigorously ad-, vancing, and have joined another French column to the north as. far as Noangela. •■■.."
