REJECTED VOLUNTEERS.
ISSUE OF BADGES NOT
ADVISABLE
(Received July 29, 9.35 a.m.) MELBOURNE, July 29. Senator Ready asked, in view of the fact that rejected volunteers were taunted with having shown the " white feather," particularly by ■ women; would Senator Pearce consider the advisability of giving them a badge. Senator Pearco replied that the men were given a certificate, and it would be inadvisable to issue a badge, as there 'was no guarantee that it would remain in tbo possession of tho proper person.
