ONE MAN WOUNDED. Tho Post Office forwarded the following information to-day:— WOUNDED IN THE SHOULDER.

PRIVATE H. W. HENDERSON
A good many local people will regret to hear of tho death, from enteric, of Private Herbert William Henderson, ut one of the base hospitals at the front. Private Henderson was a son of Mr James, Henderson, of Alford Forest Road, and his parents to-day received word that their son had died ou July 16. He was wounded on or about June 10, but no word was. ever received as to his injuries, except that he was "progressing- favourably." Private Henderson, who was familiarly known locally as "Tom," was born and brought up in Ashburbon. He was' 24 years of age, and was a carpenter by trade. He enlisted early in the war, and left with the Third Reinforcements. He was regarded as a singularly promising young man, and was exceedingly popular among his fellows. He was a Good Templar, and a prominent member of the Southern Cross Football Club. Mr Henderson has received telegrams of sympathy from the Governor and the Minister of Defence.
