LONDON, May 30. Kinf.' Victor Emmanuel telegraphed ;i:; Voiiii;v» to King George:—"Tho ancient traditional friendship between Italian and English people is now strengthened by the bond of blood against a common enemy. I express ardent hopes for victory."

King George replied, cordially reciprocating those sentiments and espresing deep gratification at being so closely allied in a great and noble cause, and saying he felt complete confidence in the success of the united efforts.
