LONDON, April 21. An official' Berlin ■ message states that 35,000 Anglo-French troops have landed at-.Mudros. . •'. : • It is Believed .that action in the Dardanelles is about to' be reamed. The. Suez Canal has. been fortified along its entire length, but the troops holding it are comparatively weak. ; A new attack is expected in the vicinity, of Port -Said.- ■, [Mudros is on Miidros' Bay, a.iland^ locked harbour ,in . the. island cf Lemnos, between 30 and 40 miles south-west from the. entrance to the Dardanelles. The'-island is about 20 miles long, with fertile valleys, in which the population of 27,500,; mainly Greeks, practise sheep and goat farming. It wns taken by Greece in the last Balkan war.
