The interprovincial cricket match, Otago r. Wellington, was commenced
at the Basin Reserve tins afternoon under conditions which could not be called ideal. The game was to have commenced at noon, but drizzling rain in the morning delayed play till 2 I o'clock. At that hour the weather was dull, with rain threatening. The | wind, which was from the south, was unpleasantly cold. The following are the scores: — Wellington. I First Innings. F.
