THE MOVEMENT IN AMERICA. ! STARTED BY GERMANY. LONDON, December 15. The "Daily Telegraph's" Wasiiing.toii correspondent says:— "The- 'Kolnische Zeitung's' denial ov German, inspiration of the peace movement in America, is not belitved by the public here. .When the bankers mentioned in "articles- discussed the movement President Wilson and his advisers knew that Count Bernstorff was responsible for the steps taken by the bankers. The "Kolnische Zedtung's" declarations are regarded as a prelude to Germany making some peace move through Rome. "The stateent that America as a nation is pro-British is true, but the fact was not. definitely known until President.Wilson refused' to fall into the trap set by Count Bernstorff to get the United States to start a peace movement."
