Despite the smoke and flames which were'issuing'from'the box used by the cinematograph operator a.t the opposite end "of the. hall, the singer with great presence of mind broke forth afresh "ia "It's a Long Way to Tipperary." Ait first the audience was not disposed to" take the song seriously, and some occupying the back seats made a rush for the mnin door, but with tho aid of the orchestra the singer soon had a number joining in the air. Before the aong ended the outbreak had been suppressed with the aid of fire extinguishers.
