WELLINGTON, October 12. In reply to a question tnis evening regarding the.Religious Instruction-in-Schools Referendum Bill, the Minister of Education (the. Hon. James Allen) said he did not think that the measure would be proceeded with this session. He pointed out that the Bill was not before the Education Committee, as some people appeared to think. That' committee, he said, was merely dealing with the petitions that had been presented to Parliament on the subject.
