The monthly meeting of £he Ashburton Ministers' Association was held ion Monday afternoon at the Anglican vicarage. The Rev. W. J. Elliott (Presidont) was in the chair, and there was a fair attendance;. Fuller arrangements in connection with the series of unitesd prayer meetings were made, and much satisfaction expressed with their success. . Tho Rev. J. D. McArthur gave a concise and clear review of Professor Peabody's views on "Christ and the .Care of the Poor,'' and an interesting discussion followed. After some time had been spent in intercession, Mrs Burgin dispensed hospitality and th© 1 meeting concluded.
