The; New Zealand ladies' golf championship meeting was continued' on Saturday. After daybreak a heavy electrical rain shower commenced to

fall and continued for some time. When the third round ol' the championship was commenced pools of water lay on many of the greens, which were, of course, much slower than on the previous days. The rain slackened off towards 1 Oo'clock, and after a few holes had been played stopped altogether, leaving conditions most pleasant and the. turf and greens in excellent conditions under a drying wind. ,
