ENTERTAINMENTS.

HAYWARO'S PICTURES

Int-orest at His Majesty's Thea.tre on Saturday night centred round "The Masked .Diuicer,"'-a picture-play of the severely dramatic variety. We are told that accidents will happen in the best regulated families, and one would be iuclmed .to believe that the case told of in the story was one of that nature. Tho scene opened in Mexico— ■one of the bad places of the earth— whither a mining engineer had gone with his young wife. The mail' seemed to have last interest in his bride, and, apparently possessing a fickle temperament, was stupid enough to fall in love with a low-down cabaret dancer. This became known to the wife, who hit upon a plan for winning her erring husband's affections. She donned a dancer's costume and a mask and made a descent upon the hostelry her husband'was in the habit of frequenting. | Of course the man scented out the new | Wood, and after finding out that the iady was his wife rescued her from the Mexicans and sought for reconciliation, which was granted, the couple presumably living happily ever, after. A more appealing drama was "A Practi■cal Demonstration," telling of a girl's effoi-t to perform a man's work. The supporting films were good. The same j programme will be screened again this evening.
