THE QUARTERMASTER'S EVIDENCE.
(Received June 19, 1.20. p.m.) Quartermaster Galway; examined, mtended that the Empress of Ireland d n,ot answer her helm properly hen on the last trip westward. Galay admitted that he made certain iggestions to Mr Haight, at the inance of an unknown fireman connect- [ with the Firemen's Union. . Thej ggestion indicated that the Empress Ireland was steering badly.
