(Received May 30, 8.25 a.m.) NEW YORK, May 29. , Glenn Curtis Seroplaned successfully a ; .':short distant with Dr. Samuel i Langley's flying machine, invented years before aerial flight was thought to be practicable. Curtis flew a short distance and alighted safely. Dr. Langley claimed he, had discovered the secret of flight, but everybody ridiculed himj calling his machine "Langley's Folly." The machine was preserved for years in the Smithsonian Institute.
