CHRISTOHURCH, May 15.
The wheat marked remains quiet but firm, especially for hunters and pearl, there not being quite so much enquiry for tuscan. There is very little grain, offering, and sales are,few at present. ,; There is na change in the oatmarket but, if anything, it is rather weaker, though prices remain without alteration. ' y , • Malting barley is very dull of sale., There is no demand whatever at present and it is difficult to say what the real value isj; The potato market has/further weakened and buyers are now giving £3 iit country stations, and they are not now keen to make purchases even at I"hat figure, though a good deal of business has been done during, the week, on that basis.
